Greenway Fat Tire Ride

Friends of the proposed Biscayne-Everglades Greenway plan to ride the full 42-mile loop connecting the Everglades and Biscayne National Parks. The ride is free and escorted, but you should bring food and water and have very rugged tires. The ride starts from Homestead Bayfront Park -- 9700 SW 328th St., Homestead. You may wish to download the cue sheet attached here. No road bikes, please; some of this ride is on fairly rough ground.This would have been the second part of the Homestead-based Greenway Bicycle Festival, sponsored by Homestead Main Street. However, Saturday's road ride of 42 miles or 62 miles was called off Thursday because of low registration numbers.
